Boho Pacific Northwest Elopement Styled Shoot
Wedding coordination and design in Buckley, Washington
Design Inspiration
The inspiration behind the design was adventure in every sense of the word. Elopements, especially Pacific Northwest elopements, are naturally adventurous and fun. My own personal style adventure was to create a design that was outside of my comfort zone. I wanted to use a color palette that I had never done before and do something different but on-trend. My personal style is typically more of the muted neutrals, so starting with orange was a major change and I couldn’t be happier with how it came together. The bohemian vibe naturally came about as I started pulling items and inspiration for shoot, and with working with my girl Shannon at Ash + Vine Photography to align with her awesome, edgy style.
Vendor Dream Team
The Five2Five in Buckley, Washington, provided a fun and intimate venue. The cottage is the perfect venue for Pacific Northwest elopements, rain or shine. I had so much fun pulling decorations with their venue coordinators. This included vintage wooden chairs, tables, place settings, cake stand, and those gorgeous green goblets.
Wendy Pedersen Designs pulled out all the stops with her floral magic! She delivered beyond expectations with beautiful geometric and pampas grass arrangements, a gorgeous bridal bouquet and boutonniere, and even helped style the wedding cake. I couldn’t get over how well the florals paired with the stationery from Impress Ink Design, especially because Wendy didn’t see the stationery in advance. The Impress Ink wedding invitation suite design, detail and quality was perfection.
Models Sarah & Anthony Stair were a dream to work with and so easy-going. Gretchen with Wild Hearted Beauty brought the glam and I loved the braid! A huge thank you to Hyacinth Bridal (our only non-local vendor) for providing their gorgeous, flowy “Olivia” gown. The name is a total coincidence, I promise!
Finally, Shannon with Ash + Vine Photography was a pro in managing the shot list and making it a fun and seamless process for everyone, including delivering these beautiful photos.
One of the best parts of a styled shoot is the chance to get creative, take chances, and let each vendor shine. I provided the color palette and design, but each vendor brought their own creativity and touch. I was so happy with how it all came together, especially without many of them seeing elements from the other vendors in advance.
